Sleepy Hollow Thaumatrope

Thaumatropes are an optical toy devised in the 19th century, consisting of a disc with a different image on either side, which merge as one when rapidly rotated.

I have created replicas of the one seen on Tim Burton’s film Sleepy Hollow, of a red cardinal and an empty cage. Simply spin the disc using the strings and it will seem as if the cardinal is inside the cage. Crafted from card and thread.
